1/3 cup shortening

1 egg

1 1/2 cup sugar

1 2/3 cup flour

1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

2/3 cup milk

Mix all ingredients together and put in a greased 13 x 9  cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes until golden brown.
